Which shape for which project?
Floristry and floral arrangements
Balls and hearts act as a base to attach fresh greenery or dried flowers. Rings and cake dummies form the base for seasonal decoration, wedding-table decoration or a welcome wreath on the door. At Easter, smaller balls or egg shapes complement any composition.
Christmas decoration
Cones become mini Christmas trees — cover with dried flowers, moss, noble fir, beads, glitter or felt. Balls become handmade baubles to hang up, covered with rope, hydrangea leaves or moss. Wreath bases are the start of every Christmas wreath.
Easter — eggs and balls
Styrofoam egg shapes are ideal for painting, wrapping with rope or covering with dried flowers. Our large eggs up to 30 cm and 40 cm are unique to us — ideal for shop windows and large Easter displays. Combine with small wreath bases for Easter table decoration.

Working with it — what works and what doesn't
- Cutting: sharp knife or bread knife, slow sawing motion
- Gluing: low-melt glue gun (a regular hot melt glue gun melts the Tempex!), cold glue in tube or contact glue
- Attaching fresh greenery: glue stems onto the styrofoam or fix with staples (styrofoam is too hard to push stems into — for pushable arrangements use floral foam)
- Covering: rope, moss, felt, shells, beads, glitter glue — everything sticks
- Painting: acrylic or poster paint, no solvents (they damage the material)
