Kenzan 70 mm with removable rubber ring for Ikebana flower arrangements

Item No.: OT7

An IKEBANA fakir bed, also known as kenzan, is an essential tool for Japanese flower arranging. It is a metal flower arranging pin holder with small, sharp pins (brass copper needles) used to hold flowers and plants in place during arranging.

Arrangements can be easily composed and adjusted with precision and control using an IKEBANA fakir bed. This metal kenzan stands alone at the bottom of the container to support your small bouquets. Its compact size (70 mm) makes it ideal for simple floral arrangements with 10 or 14 stems.

The rubber base or rubber ring ensures that the flower arrangement and the Ikebana pin holder stay nicely in place.

An additional advantage: the rubber base prevents damage to the vase or container.

FAQ

Can a Kenzan Fakirbed rust?

No, Kenzan for Ikebana cannot rust because it is made of stainless steel. You may see not rust but residue from flower stems that die off. You can easily remove this with an old toothbrush. However, it is recommended because of bacteria!

How to use a Kenzan Ikebana pin?

The Kenzan Fakirbed is best placed in the center of a vase, a small bowl, or a shallow dish. Add water after arranging the flowers to prolong the enjoyment of your creation.
